New White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was thrown into the fire.
She was put on the spot about a disturbing problem.
And Peter Doocy asked Karoline Leavitt one scary question about Donald Trump.
Democrats dial up the violent rhetoric over Elon Musk and Trump
The scandal over the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has left Democrats foaming at the mouth.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) exposed that USAID was wasting taxpayer money on grants to international organizations to promote the Left’s woke agenda.
USAID used taxpayer money to buy subscriptions to left-wing outlet Politico, fund the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), and pay for transgender operas in Colombia.
Trump shut down USAID, and transferred control of the agency to the State Department.
Congressional Democrats decided to draw a line in the sand over taxpayer money being used to fund a British TV station.
The Democrat base has been demoralized and unengaged since the election.
A group of Congressional Democrats held a demonstration outside of the Department of Treasury building in Washington, D.C. to fire up the base.
They used overheated rhetoric by promising to “fight in the streets” and declaring “we are at war.”
Democrats’ frustration boiled over that they’re powerless in Washington, D.C. for the first time since 2018.
The speed the Trump administration is enacting its agenda has them on edge.
Karoline Leavitt is asked about violent rhetoric from Democrats
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the unhinged rhetoric coming from Democrats over USAID.
“Some elected Democrats are so steamed about DOGE. [Democrat New Jersey] Congresswoman LaMonica McIver says ‘we are at war.’ [Democrat Minnesota Representative] Ilhan Omar says ‘we might actually see someone get killed,’ and [Democrat Maryland Senator] Chris Van Hollen says ‘we have to fight this in Congress, we have to fight this in the streets.’ So, what now?” Doocy asked.
Leavitt noted the hypocrisy of the media ignoring Democrats demanding a civil war over USAID.
“And may I just point out that if you heard that type of violent, enticing rhetoric from our side of the aisle, from Republican leaders on Capitol Hill, I think there would be a lot more outrage in this room today,” Leavitt replied. “It’s unacceptable, the comments that have been made by these Democrat leaders and frankly, they don’t even know what they are talking about.”
Democrats complain that Musk is an unelected official, but ignore the millions of unelected bureaucrats in the federal government who make major decisions.
Leavitt reminded the press that Trump is doing what he campaigned on.
“President Trump was elected with a mandate from the American people to make this government more efficient,” Leavitt explained. “He campaigned across this country with Elon Musk vowing that Elon was going to head up the Department of Government Efficient and the two of them, with this great team they have around them, were going to look at the receipts of this federal government and ensure it’s accountable to American taxpayers.”
“For Democratic officials to incite violence and encourage Americans to take to the streets, is incredibly alarming and they should be held accountable for that rhetoric,” Leavitt added.
Democrats have decided that taxpayer-funding for transgender operas in Colombia is the hill they want to die on.
