The Democrat Party is trying to regain its bearings after Donald Trump’s swearing in.
They won’t be getting back on their feet anytime soon.
And John Kennedy left the Democrats back on their heels with this daring move.
The Democrat Party attack of conspiracy theorist falls apart
For the last eight years, Democrats and their media allies had an easy smear to hurl at Republicans every time Donald Trump and his supporters called into question the Left’s narrative.
“Conspiracy theorist.”
That charge fell apart in just about a week.
Senator John Kennedy exposed the sham in his folksy way during Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing to serve as FBI Director.
“A colleague and friend, Senator Dick Durbin called you a conspiracy theorist. Remember that?” Kennedy asked Patel.
“I do,” Patel replied.
Kennedy reminded his fellow Senators that Kash Patel was the author of the Nunes Memo that exposed the FBI’s abuses of power in spying on Carter Page in the Russia collusion hoax.
“You were instrumental in revealing that the Trump-Russia election collusion hoax was a hoax, weren’t you?” Kennedy inquired.
“Yes sir, I was lead investigator,” Patel responded.
Kennedy said the Russia collusion hoax was derided in the press and Democrat Party as a conspiracy theory, but it ended up being true that Hillary Clinton and the FBI tried to frame Trump for conspiring with Russia to steal the 2016 election.
“Sounds to me like we need to get some new conspiracy theories because all the old ones turned out to be true,” Kennedy concluded.
This wasn’t the only conspiracy theory that turned out to be true.
New CIA Director John Ratcliffe released an assessment that COVID-19 originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Communist China.
“CIA assesses with low confidence that a research-related origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting. CIA continues to assess that both research-related and natural origin scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic remain plausible,” a CIA spokesman said about the assessment, adding that the agency “will continue to evaluate any available credible new intelligence reporting or open-source information that could change CIA’s assessment.”
For years, the press and the Democrat Party derided anyone who said COVID-19 leaked out of a lab as a racist and a conspiracy theorist.
But, in reality, Democrats and the media were afraid of what the truth would do to the Biden administration.
“The real problem is, the only assessment the agency could make — which is that a virus that killed over a million Americans originated in a C.C.P.-controlled lab whose research included work for the Chinese military — has enormous geopolitical implications that the Biden administration does not want to face head-on,” Trump aide Cliff Sims told the New York Times.
Democrats and the media also likely feared that admitting COVID-19 was the product of experiments would lead to questions about Dr. Fauci and the approval of taxpayer money to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
