America isn’t done with Joe Biden’s scandals.
This latest outrage should prompt an investigation.
And Joe Biden signed one piece of paper that was a damning admission about his mental decline.
Joe Biden pardons drug kingpin who murdered mother and eight-year-old son
Before Joe Biden left office, he signed pardons and commutations for thousands of supposedly “non-violent” drug offenders.
These clemencies blew up in the Democrat Party’s face because of the commutation to 48-year-old Adrian Peeler.
Peeler was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the 1999 killing of Karen Clarke and her eight-year-old son LeRoy “BJ” Brown, who were shot and killed in their Bridgeport, Connecticut, home.
“Peeler, whoever did this to my grandchild and my daughter, there won’t be no lawyers to testify, there will be no one to vindicate them, they will have to vindicate themselves,” Karen Clarke’s grandmother Pearl said at a 1999 memorial for Karen and LeRoy.
A judge sentenced Peeler to 25 years in prison on a state conspiracy to commit murder charges.
That sentence ended in 2021, but Peeler was still in jail serving federal drug trafficking charges until 2033.
Biden let him loose.
Connecticut Democrats were furious over Biden letting a violent criminal back on the streets early.
“A level of outrage, this is a terrible, terrible miscarriage of justice,” Mayor Joe Ganim told WICC’s Melissa in the Morning.
Mayor Ganim released a longer statement to NBC Connecticut slamming Biden for commuting Peeler’s sentence.
“This miscarriage of justice sends yet another shockwave through the entire Bridgeport community. The brutal murder of an 8-year-old child and his mother in 1999 devastated our community and led to the establishment of Connecticut’s witness protection program. I agree with Senator Blumenthal’s statement that someone dropped the ball with President Biden pardoning this convicted murderer who ruthlessly took the lives of an innocent child and his mother leaving our community to grapple again with this horrific crime,” Ganim declared.
Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal called this an abuse of the pardon system that could invite a Constitutional amendment to enact reforms.
“It seems to me that someone dropped the ball here to let this person get released. This was a vicious murder that changed our laws. It also highlights how we need to take a look at the pardon system to see how it can be improved,” Blumenthal told reporters.
This scandalous commutation was just another data point showing Joe Biden wasn’t in control of his own government.
A left-wing interest group likely worked with Biden’s radical staff in preparing a list of pardons and commutations, knowing full well that Biden was so jelly-brained at this point he would sign anything his staff put in front of him without bothering to ask any questions.
This pardon alone should prompt Republicans in Congress to launch a Congressional investigation into the cover up of Joe Biden’s cognitive impairment.
