Kid Rock mocks Michelle Obama for boycotting Trump’s inauguration
Michelle Obama didn’t attend Trump’s inauguration.
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,” a statement from her office read.
Michelle Obama blowing off the inauguration after skipping Jimmy Carter’s funeral erased all doubts that the real reason was the fact that she hates Donald Trump.
In an appearance on Jesse Watters’ primetime Fox News show, music icon Kid Rock had fun with Michelle Obama boycotting being in Donald Trump’s presence.
“She seems a little angry,” Kid Rock quipped.
Kid Rock then told Watters that he would like to remind Michelle Obama that even though he didn’t vote for her husband, he played the inauguration when asked because he respects the office of the President of the United States.
“I would kindly remind her that years back when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him. But they asked me to play the inauguration. And I played it and I went,” Kid Rock added. “I had a good time. I went out of respect for the president so I would kindly remind Michelle about that.”
Sources close to Michelle Obama say she hates Donald Trump and has no interest in hiding it.
“She’s never been fake and she’s never been phony. She’s always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up,” the source told the New York Post.
“She showed up reluctantly for the election. They were united, but she doesn’t have to unify around [Trump]. She doesn’t have to say anything. Her absence speaks volumes,” the source added.
Michelle Obama told The Light Podcast that attending Trump’s inauguration in 2017 was a painful moment for her because Trump didn’t run a ceremony that comported with the principles of DEI.
“To sit on that stage and watch the opposite of what we represented on display — there was no diversity, there was no color on that stage. There was no reflection of the broader sense of America,” Obama stated.
Michelle Obama also smeared Donald Trump as a racist during her unhinged speech at the Democratic National Convention.
“For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us. See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be black,” Michelle Obama ranted.
For their part, the Trump team paid Michelle Obama no mind as she’s a political has-been and no one expected her to show up anyway.
“They are having a good laugh,” a Trump transition source told the Post.
“They didn’t expect her to come anyway,” the source emphasized.
