The woke Left tried to take over sports.
That effort ended in failure.
And now one football coach just drove the final nail in the coffin of the woke mob.
Notre Dame coach shoots down discussion of his race
There has been a complete cultural vibe shift since Donald Trump won the 2024 election.
Americans rendered their verdict on woke ideology with a resounding thumbs down in November.
But some in the media don’t want to acknowledge the message.
ESPN’s Molly McGrath interviewed Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman following the Fighting Irish’s thrilling 27-24 come from behind win in the Orange Bowl over Penn State in the College Football Playoff Semifinal.
Heading into this game, the media didn’t focus on the battle between two bluebloods of college football that combined for 13 national titles.
What the media obsessed over in the run up to this game was the fact that Freeman and Penn State head coach James Franklin were black.
The central storyline according to the woke media was the idea that – no matter which team won this game – a black coach would lead his team into a national championship game.
Notre Dame beat Penn State, rallying from a 24-17 deficit to score 10 points in the last 7:55 of the game, including kicker Mitch Jeter’s 41-yard field goal with just seven seconds left to send the Irish to Atlanta for the championship game.
When McGrath interviewed Freeman, she stuck to the woke script of asking him what it means to have the opportunity to become the first black coach to win the national title.
Freeman dismissed McGrath’s obsessions with race, saying he hoped his success opens up more opportunities for coaches of all races.
“You know, I’ve said this before, I don’t ever want to take attention away from the team. It is an honor, and I hope all coaches — minorities, Black, Asian, White, it doesn’t matter — great people continue to get opportunities to lead young men like this,” Freeman declared.
Freeman emphasized that the real stars of the game who deserve all the adulation are the players on the field.
“But this ain’t about me, this is about us. And we’re going to celebrate what we’ve done because it’s something special,” Freeman concluded.
NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre called out ESPN for an insulting question and praised Freeman for his classy response.
“Terrible question but great response by Notre Dame head coach,” Favre posted on X. “Sports should bring people together not separate.”

McGrath’s question was something out of 2020 where the media – and every other institution in America – obsessed over race and pumped their combined might into trying to brainwash Americans into believing the lie that that the United States was a systemically racist nation.
Americans silently seethed over the following four years as the woke Left continued to claim territory in institutions across America.
The public said enough was enough on November 5.
And Marcus Freeman’s answer to ESPN’s cringe questions had Americans ready to move on from wokeism cheering.
