Donald Trump won a landslide re-election victory.
Yet the anti-Trump GOP establishment refuses to lay down their swords.
And one RINO traitor issued this formal declaration of war against Donald Trump.
Mitch McConnell stabs Donald Trump in the back
Donald Trump won a landslide mandate in the 2024 election in part due to his promise to implement an America-First foreign policy.
That included Trump’s pledge to negotiate an end to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
Ending those wars is a blow to the Washington, D.C., Swamp as defense contractors and K Street lobbyists use both conflicts to line their own pockets.
Enter RINO Senator Mitch McConnell.
McConnell stepped down as GOP leader in the Senate.
But that doesn’t mean McConnell is done pulling the strings.
McConnell assumed the role of the Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations.
From this perch, McConnell plans to lead the opposition in the Senate to Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Ukraine.
McConnell made his intentions clear in an essay published in Foreign Affairs where he attacked Donald Trump and the Left as two sides of the same coin on the global stage.
The RINO Kentucky Senator claimed Trump and other America First conservatives who think resources should be spent securing their own country’s border, as opposed to the one in Ukraine, are enemies of American prosperity and security.
“Such thinking is commonplace among both isolationist conservatives who indulge the fantasy of ‘Fortress America’ and progressive liberals who mistake internationalism for an end in itself. The right has retrenched in the face of Russian aggression in Europe, while the left has demonstrated a chronic allergy to deterring Iran and supporting Israel,” McConnell added.
Donald Trump rebuilt America’s military in his first term without starting any new wars.
McConnell claimed Trump trying to follow that policy again in his second term is akin to actively seeking to weaken the nation.
“As it takes these steps, the administration will face calls from within the Republican Party to give up on American primacy,” McConnell added.
Mitch McConnell’s America Last tirade
McConnell supports a blank check for an endless war in Ukraine.
And McConnell falsely claimed that negotiating an end to the failed war in Ukraine amounted to managing America’s decline.
“It must reject them. To pretend that the United States can focus on just one threat at a time, that its credibility is divisible, or that it can afford to shrug off faraway chaos as irrelevant is to ignore its global interests and its adversaries’ global designs. America will not be made great again by those who simply want to manage its decline,” McConnell wrote.
Just for good measure, McConnell deployed the discredited left-wing media smear that Trump was Russian President Vladimir Putin’s puppet.
“He courted Putin, he treated allies and alliance commitments erratically and sometimes with hostility, and in 2019 he withheld $400 million in security assistance to Ukraine,” McConnell continued.
McConnell finished his essay doubling down on the lie that Donald Trump wants to oversee America’s “decline” because he supports ending the war in Ukraine.
“The United States urgently needs to reach a bipartisan consensus on the centrality of hard power to U.S. foreign policy. This fact must override both left-wing faith in hollow internationalism and right-wing flirtation with isolation and decline,” McConnell concluded.
