Adam Schiff led multiple anti-Trump witch hunts during the President’s first term in office.
Schiff’s status as Trump’s chief antagonist is coming back to haunt the Democrat Party.
And Adam Schiff picked one fight with Donald Trump that Schiff now deeply regrets.
Democrats face reckoning on Hunter Biden pardon
Joe Biden issued a blanket pardon to Hunter Biden covering any crimes he may have committed dating back to 2014.
Biden pardoning his son – who was the subject of multiple criminal investigations that IRS whistleblowers testified were compromised by political interference from the Justice Department – immediately forced Democrats to eat their own words.
The worst hypocrite was Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA).
During the Russia collusion hoax, Schiff claimed that a President issuing a pardon to the subject of an investigation would be criminal obstruction of justice.
“In the event the president pardons anyone in an investigation in which the president is a witness, a subject, or the target, those investigative files will all be turned over to the Congress. The Congress ought to know whether the president is using the pardon power to obstruct justice,” Schiff stated.
While Schiff claimed the President had the constitutional power to grant pardons, Schiff nonetheless argued the President pardoning the target or subject of an investigation that could implicate the President could still rise to illegal behavior.
“The American people have a right to know. I think it is clearly constitutional. It doesn’t prohibit him from granting a pardon, even a pardon he shouldn’t grant,” Schiff added.
“But it does say that we will be able to at least find out whether the president is using this power to shield himself from liability,” Schiff concluded.
Joe Biden humiliates Schiff
Schiff had to eat those words after Joe Biden pardoned Hunter Biden.
That’s because former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy detailed how Joe Biden pardoning Hunter Biden fit the exact parameters of a corrupt – and potentially illegal pardon – that Schiff described.
The Supreme Court’s immunity ruling means Biden can’t face criminal charges for the pardon.
But McCarthy explained that Biden extended the pardon back to 2014 to cover Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine with Burisma, two deals with companies in Communist China, as well as a dinner at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden hobnobbed with Hunter’s business partners.
McCarthy wrote that the blanket immunity prevents an enterprising Republican prosecutor from devising a novel legal theory to charge Hunter Biden for illegal foreign lobbying in a scheme that could implicate Joe Biden.
“After all, an aggressive, creative prosecutor (perhaps in the mold of Jack Smith, but this time a zealous Republican) could cobble together a theory that Hunter and his cohorts – perhaps including the president and his brother Jim – were in a conspiracy that continued after 2016, perhaps even into 2020 and beyond,” McCarthy wrote.
“The proof for that might not be strong, it might even be non-existent. But in light of the evidence – including the evidence developed by the House Oversight Committee, which found that the Bidens reeled in over $27 million from foreign persons and entities from 2014 to 2019 – there would certainly be a sufficient basis for a criminal investigation,” McCarthy added.
Joe Biden is leaving office in disgrace.
Biden humiliated his allies with his pardon, and the pardon will also hang like a dark cloud over the family as Americans will believe it was the last act of a cover up to conceal criminal activity.
