Former President Bill Clinton knows the Democrat Party is in trouble.

Bill Clinton says Americans will elect a woman President if she is a conservative RepublicanÂ
In an interview with CBS to promote his new book Citizen, Bill Clinton confronted the fact that Donald Trump beat two female Democrats – Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris – to win the White House.
CBS’ Tracy Smith asked Clinton if it would be easier for a conservative woman to win the Presidency than a leftist Democrat.
Clinton seemed to agree.
But Clinton also said the underlying fundamentals of the election – runaway inflation, an open border, and rampant crime – meant no Democrat could have won in 2024.
Clinton said had Hillary run in 2008, the backlash to the Iraq War and the Wall Street meltdown meant she would have won in a landslide similar to the one Barack Obama scored that fall.
“Maybe,” Clinton stated. “I think in some ways we’ve moved to the right as a reaction to all the turmoil. And I think if Hillary had been nominated in 2008, she would’ve walked in, just like Obama did.”
Clinton then fell back on a trope the Left relies on, which is claiming it’s only the Right waging a culture war when conservatives notice insane woke policies such as biological men in women’s sports.
“Well, I think all these cultural battles that we’re fighting make it harder in some ways for a woman to run,” Clinton added.
Smith asked Clinton if he was admitting the American people rejected Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton because voters judged them as too leftist as opposed to sexism.Â
“So, you think it has more to do with party than gender?” Smith asked.
Clinton really wasn’t willing to go that far.Â
“No,” Clinton responded. “Although I think it would probably be easier for a conservative Republican woman to win.”
Why Kamala Harris lostÂ
Kamala Harris lost because she owned the failed record of the Biden-Harris administration.
Voters also couldn’t get past the fact that Kamala Harris adopted a host of leftist positions when she ran for President in 2020 – banning fracking, eliminating private health insurance, and confiscating firearms just to name a few – that put her far outside the mainstream.
Kamala Harris was also an objectively bad candidate who couldn’t articulate coherent thoughts unless she read from a script.
That’s why Kamala’s handlers plan for the election was to try and get through without having her do any interviews.
The campaign changed course in September when polls showed her momentum stalling, which led to a series of disastrous media appearances where Kamala said she couldn’t think of a single thing she would have done differently than Joe Biden.
Polls also showed the American people remembered the economy was good when Trump was President and thought it was poor with Kamala Harris in office.
Democrats want to blame Kamala’s defeat on sexism because the alternative is accepting the fact that the party supports an unpopular agenda that voters rejected in decisive fashion.
