RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley was once the establishment’s great hope to take back the GOP from Donald Trump.
But Donald Trump made sure that would never happen.
And now Donald Trump has just ended any hopes Nikki Haley had of a political comeback with this big revelation.
Donald Trump rejects two warmongers for cabinet posts
Staffing up the Trump administration is now the order of the day.
The competing factions of the GOP all want to see their people in key roles.
Donald Trump remade the Republican Party on foreign policy.
Trump’s America First foreign policy was the biggest source of contention with the establishment over the last nine years as Trump campaigned on ending foreign wars.
It got so bad that his own administration lied to him about the number of troops in Syria after Trump ordered a withdrawal.
Officials like Secretary of Defense General James Mattis resigned in protest and trashed Trump publicly.
In the 2024 campaign, Trump ran on a promise to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump and his supporters wanted to avoid a repeat of the mistakes of the first administration.
On the trail when asked about what he could do differently in a second term, Trump would point to personnel and say when he came to the White House, he didn’t know anyone in Washington and relied on the advice of others to staff his administration.
Trump proved he meant what he said in a Truth Social post he when announced warmongers Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo wouldn’t serve in a second Trump administration.
“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump posted.
Tucker Carlson wins out
Pompeo reportedly was angling for Secretary of Defense and Haley would use a Trump post as a springboard for a 2028 Presidential campaign.
Both also supported a blank check for the war in Ukraine.
Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump Jr. reportedly blocked the two from receiving a cabinet post.
“The two people added that Pompeo’s bid to become the nation’s defense chief ran into heated opposition from close allies of the former president, including his son, Donald Trump Jr., and far-right commentator and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson,” POLITICO reported.
Haley and Pompeo also both criticized Trump to butter themselves up to the establishment.
Back in the spring of 2023, Mike Pompeo sided with Jack Smith in the Mar-a-Lago documents hoax.
“Trump had classified docs when he shouldn’t have had them, and when given the opportunity to return them, he chose not to do that,” Pompeo told Fox News.
Pompeo then falsely claimed Trump put America’s national security at risk, adding, “That’s inconsistent with protecting America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines … if these allegations are true, some of these were pretty serious, important documents.”
For her part, Nikki Haley attacked Trump during the GOP primary for not supporting billions of dollars in taxpayer money to support the war in Ukraine.
“He was thin-skinned and easily distracted. He didn’t do anything on fiscal policy and really spent a lot of money, and we’re paying the price for it,” Haley declared. “He used to be good on foreign policy, and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine.”
Haley also bet Trump would lose the election to Kamala Harris and wanted to position herself to run an “I told you so” campaign in 2028.
That’s why Haley went on Fox News one week before the election and went all woke attacking Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally as racist and sexist.
“This is not a time to have anyone criticize Puerto Rico or Latinos,” Haley declared in reaction to insult comic Tony Hinchcliffe’s “garbage” joke about the island territory’s landfill problems.
The joke was also seemingly meant to bait leftists and demonstrate their true colors and tired attempts to demonize Trump and his supporters.
Nikki Haley played right into it, with another left-wing talking point line.
“This is not a time for them to get overly masculine with this bromance thing that they have,” Haley added.
The old saying goes, personnel is policy.
Trump is taking that to heart and keeping two warmongers out of his administration.
