Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the biggest supporters of Donald Trump in Congress.
In the wake of Trump’s smashing re-election win, Greene had a message for the Left.
And Marjorie Taylor Greene just made the Democrat Party’s worst nightmare come true.
Marjorie Taylor Greene takes a victory lap
No member of Congress has been more unfairly maligned than Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
After entering Congress in 2021, Greene became an instant target of Democrats who stripped Greene of her committee seats when they controlled the majority, and have continually smeared her as a racist, anti-Semite, and conspiracy theorist.
Greene spoke for Trump supporters when, on Real America’s Voice, she described the MAGA movement as the actual “mainstream” in American politics.
“You know, here’s one thing I would like to point out. They’ve attacked me continuously, called me radical, fringe extremists. You know what they found out today? President Trump will have over 5 million of the popular vote ahead of Kamala Harris. He will, by the time this is done, likely have 312 electoral college votes,” Greene began.
Greene said the American people ratified the MAGA agenda to secure the border, bring inflation under control, end the war in Ukraine, and drive a stake through the heart of woke ideology.
“The message that was shot across the bow is, guess what? the American people, the voters that voted for Trump overwhelmingly, they are MTG. MTG is not radical or extreme. She’s mainstream America. And I am very much looking forward to working in an administration that is on that level. And we have to get it done. We made a lot of big promises on the campaign trail, and now we have to deliver,” Greene concluded.
For the last nine years, Democrats and the media comforted themselves over Trump’s rise by claiming Trump was an aberrant figure whose ceiling was 47 percent.
The feeling on the left that the largest coalition in politics in America consisted of people opposed to Donald Trump allowed the Left to engage in transgressive behavior that destroyed norms without paying a social, legal, or political penalty.
That reality ended the second it became apparent Donald Trump would win the 2024 Presidential Election.
This message dawned on the media.
CNN leftwing activist Brian Stelter quoted a veteran radio reporter in his Reliable Sources newsletter.
The reporter told Stelter that it’s “hard not to see this election as just a national repudiation of what we do,” adding that “We spent four years reporting so aggressively” on January 6 and other media hobby horses about contesting the 2020 election.
None of those things mattered to voters.
Fox News’ voter analysis showed the economy and immigration were the top two issues for voters.
That’s what Donald Trump focused his campaign on.
Kamala Harris centered her message to voters on calling Donald Trump a fascist and Hitler, which is in accordance with the press’ fixation on January 6 and the aftermath of the 2020 election.
And the election results – as Marjorie Taylor Greene was all too happy to point out – delivered a clear verdict on who was more in touch with the mood of the country.
