The George Bush political apparatus is making its presence felt in the 2024 election.
Donald Trump and his supporters aren’t happy about it.
And George W. Bush stunned America with this Kamala Harris endorsement.
Barbara Bush campaigns for Kamala Harris
Barbara Bush – the daughter of former President George W. Bush – campaigned for Kamala Harris by knocking on doors in Pennsylvania.
It’s impossible to believe George W. Bush didn’t know about this stunt and approve of it.
Barbara Bush told PEOPLE Magazine that she endorsed Kamala Harris for President because of her support for abortion-on-demand up until birth.
“It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,” Barbara Bush’s statement to PEOPLE read. “I’m hopeful they’ll move our country forward and protect women’s rights.”
Despite her father being a Republican President who identified as pro-Life, Barbara Bush’s support for abortion fits in the family tradition.
Barbara’s mother Laura came out as pro-abortion after leaving the White House.
And in 2017, Barbara headlined a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood and falsely claimed the abortion mill provides healthcare.
“I am proud to stand with Planned Parenthood not only because women, regardless of where they are from, deserve to live dignified, healthy lives, [but] … because it’s a really good investment,” Barbara Bush declared at the Planned Parenthood gala. “We know that when women are healthy, their families and their children are healthier, too.”
The Bush political operation backs Kamala Harris
The RINOs who staffed Bush’s two Presidential campaigns and worked in his administration – Nicolle Wallace, Lincoln Project co-founders Stuart Stevens and Reed Galen among others – were the original Never Trumpers.
Liz and Dick Cheney joined them in endorsing Kamala Harris for President.
In fact, George W. Bush is practically the only figure in his political orbit not to publicly back Kamala.
There’s been a public pressure campaign on social media to urge George W. Bush to endorse Kamala.
Other than Trump, George W. Bush is the only living former Republican President.
Kamala Harris’ supporters think Bush coming out in favor of their candidate would help Kamala Harris win over voters who supported Nikki Haley in the Republican primary.
But Bush is unlikely to make that move
That’s because Trump’s candidacy is a complete rejection of the Bush-era GOP that supported amnesty for illegal aliens, endless wars in the Middle East, and global trade deals that sent American jobs overseas.
Win or lose on November 5, Donald Trump’s time as the GOP leader is coming to an end.
The party will pick a new nominee in 2028.
Bush wants to retain the ability to try and influence the nominating process to help an establishment friendly candidate seize back control of the Republican Party.
Crossing the Rubicon and endorsing Kamala Harris ends any possibility of that happening.
