A critic branded Paige Spiranac's patriotic bikini photo as fake AI trickery.
Spiranac wasted no time hitting back with the real story.
What she revealed about that photo left at least one doubter red faced.
Spiranac's Holiday Bikini Photo Draws An AI Accusation
Paige Spiranac never misses a Fourth of July post.
Hot dogs one year, patriotic swimwear the next, she has turned the holiday into a personal tradition.
This year she shared a red, white and blue bikini photo posed in front of fireworks.
It looked like standard holiday content from a familiar face.
Spiranac played college golf at Arizona and San Diego State before trading a competitive career for content creation, building one of the biggest social media followings in the sport.
At 32, she remains one of the most recognizable personalities in golf, on or off the course.
Then a critic decided the background looked too polished to be real.
"Paige you're better than AI!" the commenter wrote.
They tacked on a backhanded compliment about her figure before hitting send.
Spiranac was not about to let that accusation slide.
Spiranac Shuts Down The AI Claim With Proof
Spiranac replied within minutes and got straight to the facts.
"Not AI. This image was from my 2026 calendar," she wrote.
She added that a graphic designer built the fireworks backdrop around a real studio photo.
The explanation worked fast.
Her critic folded almost immediately, admitting they had jumped to conclusions and complimenting her on the way out.
Spiranac did not gloat.
She simply moved on, because this is not new territory for her.
Long before AI became the go-to insult, critics reached for Photoshop, and before that, plain old jealousy dressed up as concern.
She has spent years fielding comments about her body and her wardrobe, and her approach never changes.

Spiranac Already Called Out The Internet's Nasty Streak
This is not the first time this year Spiranac has called out how ugly online behavior has gotten.
After fans behaved badly at the U.S. Women's Open, she said the quiet part out loud.
"There has been a shift in recent years where people have become downright nasty," Spiranac wrote.
She wondered aloud whether the shift comes from people being worn down by life, or simply facing no consequences for being cruel.

The AI accusation over her holiday photo is just the latest version of that same nastiness, dressed up with a fancier excuse.
Calling a real photo "AI" is simply a shinier way to sling the same old insult.
It lets a stranger accuse a real woman's real body of being fake, all from behind a keyboard, without ever having to own the insult.
Spiranac keeps proving the label wrong the same way every time: with facts, not outrage.
Her holiday tradition survived the accusation, and the apology came fast.
Spiranac had other Fourth of July content to promote anyway, including a new patriotic golf headcover collaboration she rolled out the same week.
The AI critics can keep guessing.
She has already made it clear the Fourth of July tradition is not going anywhere, controversy or not.
